We at Cameron Wellness Life Spa wish you a new year filled with health and happiness. To get your year started off on a good foot- here are a couple tips to help you look and feel your best:
-Be sure to drink plenty of water. The recommendation is to take your body weight, divide that number by two and drink that number of ounces per day. Proper hydration is critical in having good energy levels, detoxification of all body systems including kidneys, liver, and lungs, and is also great for your skin.
-Add some fruits and vegetables into your diet. The more colorful, the better! Eating a variety of fruits and vegetables ensures that you get a range of vitamins and minerals in their best and most use-able, easily digestible forms. Optimal vegetable intake would be having them take up 50% of your plate at each meal, but don't let that intimidate you- just do your best! Even those who don't originally like vegetables tend to crave more and more vegetables with time as your body adjusts to how good eating well makes them feel.
-Be sure to move that body! Exercise is a great way to increase energy levels and it's important to take even small breaks during your work day to get up and walk around. Stretching and reaching for your toes is a great way to get blood flowing to the head as well.
